It is nearly 30th September – Countdown to our MacMillan Coffee morning. Only one week to go. We will all be busy in the kitchen next Thursday and Friday morning, baking away (although there will possibly be a flour fight or two going on – just can’t get the staff!!). If any of you would like to submit any recipe ideas, please do. Simple ones are best for me!! Donation of cake making ingredients would also be welcome, but please do contact us first so we can let you what we need.
We are hoping you will join us for tea/coffee and homemade cake. Although we are a charity ourselves, there is nothing we like better than to give a little back and support other worthy causes.
On the accommodation front, we have had a very successful week. A long term Service User has flown the nest – we have found him a room in a house with a very nice new landlady. Another Service User has also been found a room with a private landlord we work very closely with. A big THANK YOU to Anglia Care Trust for facilitating this move.
Again (yes, I do go on about this) we are always on the look out for decent rooms to rent in houses, bedsits and one bed flats. Just remember, Landlords that we do not charge management fees so the rent you get is yours AND we keep an eye on the property and the tenant to ensure your property is looked after, the rent is paid and the tenant and you are happy. What more could you ask? Get in touch now!!
We are also hoping that our new reception area will be approved by the Trustees soon so that we can move forward with this and gain some much needed office space. I am sure it won’t be long before we are having a grand opening! Watch this space for invites.
That’s it for now, folks. Many thanks to everyone who has recently donated clothes, food and time. Your commitment is very much appreciated.
